This book is a regressive general history of all things: stars, gravity, huge atoms, light, time, omnipresent Higgs, and the variety of life. The author takes the reader on a journey from carbon and its generous geometry to the heart of stars; the primordial plasm where light atoms and its elemental components emerged; and the Great Explosion, cosmic inflation, and the decisive moment between being and nothingness. The history of all things and the history of us all is the greatest history ever told.
